Target Distribution Centers
Lugoff, SC & Newton, NC
The Target Regional Distribution Centers were a total of 2.9 million square feet located in Kershaw County, South Carolina and Catawba County, North Carolina. The sites total 437 acres and include parking for approximately 1400 employees, loading dock aprons for 500 truck docks, and parking for approximately 1,700 trailers. Grading for the projects required the movement of over 3 million cubic yards of earth to provide a level pad for the building, employee parking, and trailer parking.
Seven stormwater management basins were required to control stormwater runoff. Carlisle Associates’ design services included total site design package including site layout, grading, stormwater management, water, sewer, erosion and sediment control, and construction observation.
